Paranormal Pluralizations

Precise language is the hallmark of intellectual refinement, which is why it’s important to know how to phrase the pluralizations of the supernatural creatures that you encounter on a regular basis. For example, a multitude of yetis is a “flurry of yetis” and more than one nymph is a “delectation of nymphs”. David Malki! (his name is spelled with an exclamation point) of the webcomic Wondermark has a comprehensive guide.

I would like to suggest a change. To defer from the steven King inflection it should be referenced as a Viral of vampires. Another change would be a Mountain of Golem. This would satisfy Moses.

Since precise language is important, let’s be precise. These aren’t pluralizations, which should be obvious from the examples. (e.g. the plural of apparition is apparitions.) These are group names, which are somewhat more frivolous and arbitrary.

What’s the group name for grammarians? I think you’re about to find out…

Hahaha, “a baleful of martyrs.” Now that’s funny!

I believe it’s spelled ‘Malki !’ (with a space). Just thought I’d be as pedantic as everyone else.

“a fondle of unicorns” sounds like pervy. I like it.
