It's good painting, but I don't get it at all. How is that a picture of reindeer. And her other ones don't make sense either, she must be really whacked out.

I agree. Beautiful painting, but I don't get it either. Maybe someone can shed some light?

Well, I have to agree it's beautiful but...I can't really say I see the reindeer. :s

Inside of a reindeer? Gross. I'd still love to hang it up in a dining room though.

Dudes, isn't this an anti-meat message? You're supposed to think about the poor reindeer.
Wonder why she didn't use a cow or a pig? Is it because people aren't especially sympathetic to cows or pigs?

Ahh, but the noble reindeer, wapati, who, but for the evil butcher, would be grazing peacefully through the tundra or pulling Santa's sleigh.

Wonderful, love it. for those that don't "get it" it's not always about content, sometimes it's just about form. Makes me think of Serrano's photographs from the 90s where he creates the most stunningly beautiful images from disgusting or distasteful materials. Definitely one to watch in my opinion.

Some things are best left in the conceptual stage.

The painting is nice. Very detailed and love the colors used. But the subject matter is a bit strange.

You don't have to 'get' everything. If someone claimed to actually 'get' a painting of meat, I would laugh at them.

I worked in a tattoo shop once where one of the artists was obsessed with doing meat tats - she had T-bone steaks etc. all over her flash. She even had one design that was the Virgen de Guadalupe with platters of raw meat in her hands. Irreverently awesome.

She dares to proclaim what only O'Keefe hinted at...
