This ad for Freebord skateboards has skateboarders flying down the streets of San Francisco in the dark to connect glowing Tetris shapes. I have to wonder where the awesome outtakes are!-via Digg

Not tetris. Those are not tretris pieces.

    How could you miss that?

I was going to say what Alexx said. The base word in tetris is 'tetra' as in 4. 4 adjacent squares make up every tetris piece (in each possible combination). These pieces seem to use a few made of 5 joined squares.

Um first off, yes: not all the shapes are from Tetris, but few Tetris shapes have four sides so WTF.

Second, I only see 4 wheels. Where are the other two?

Still, I wonder how they get those boards to slide sideways…

They slide sideways because there are 6 wheels, go to the Freebord website.

Basically they took the feel of snowboarding and put it on pavement!!! Defiantly going to get one of these boards!!
