Four Perfectly Round Circles

Look closely, can’t you see four perfectly round circles? Or maybe you’ll want to stand way back to see them. Don’t scroll up and down; that might make you queasy! -via I Am Bored

Ohhh, yeah headache. It was like the big red ‘don’t press’ button, I had to do it.
What just happened? I think I had a mild seizure and now I can’t uncross my eyes. Damn you karma!
Blurring your vision by altering your focus point helps to see the circles too.
Hey gang,
I print tshirts. If anyone wants this on a shirt, I can get it to you for $15. Email me at team@recycled-tees.com
Thanks!
Hey, that is pretty good! I do see 4 circles when I squin my eye! : ) Kool illustration!
Seemed like a spiral to me at first. Focusing on the circles and following them with the eyes all the way around helped…
Neil is right. By blurring your vision you can see that they are indeed perfect circles. Well, squares that are put in a pattern to form a circle.
There are inly squares here, any circles are simply imlpied…
This has been photoshopped. If you look closely you can see pixels.
Now that was like riding on a ride at the fair. Started getting dizzy there for a minute.
you can run your curser around each circle and see that they are all four independent of each other.
it’s called an optical illusion, where have you people been? under a rock?
An optical illusion (also called a visual illusion) is characterized by visually perceived images that differ from objective reality. The information gathered by the eye is processed in the brain to give a percept that does not tally with a physical measurement of the stimulus source. There are three main types: literal optical illusions that create images that are different from the objects that make them, physiological ones that are the effects on the eyes and brain of excessive stimulation of a specific type (brightness, tilt, color, movement), and cognitive illusions where the eye and brain make unconscious inferences.

Excellent. I love these kind of pictures.
A lot of work must go into them, to do them right.
Um, I got nothing but very mild eyestrain. I think you need two eyes to see this illusion.
This makes a perfect logo for a navigation company. Everyone who can makes sense of the logo will be intrigued, and all others will need their software to decipher it anyway.
