New Independent Watches from Tokyoflash are GORGEOUS!

As you all know, I’m a big fan of Tokyoflash and their nigh-unreadable watches (unless you’re a major geek and can count in binary in your sleep, of course). So it’s with great pleasure for me to tell you that Tokyoflash is featuring some new watch designs from Independent (very limited quantity). They told me that these designs are some of the best they’ve ever seen in terms of quality and originality – and it definitely shows. These watches are gorgeous!

LinkThanks Paul Cooper! (Y’know, it’s time we run a Tokyoflash Treasure Hunt again on Neatorama, don’t you guys think?)

How can you pose properly with a watch with /hands/ that anyone can read?

Who wears a watch? I have a clock in my phone.

watches just make my wrist sweaty. but in places where my phone won't work (like when I went on a cruise and had to stay on ship's time, rather than local) a watch that's easy to read = win.

so i guess tokyoflash realised they need to sell watches with actual dials. took 'em long enough. still ugly as sin, though.

So what is this thing between Neatorama and Tokyoflash? Why the weird adoration?

I love watches - especially automatics. For a man, a watch is one of the few pieces of jewelry he can get away with wearing and not look like a weirdo at the office. I suspect that a lot of the anti-watch-cell-phone-is-better crowd are teen or 20-something males who have had little or no experience working a white collar business casual/business dress job.
