Neat! I was too much of a rebel to attend my own prom (or more likely too shy to ask anyone, and opted for cynical detachment instead 
) but I probably would’ve gone with her. Sure, people have made dresses out of unusual things before, but being different in that sort of an environment is rather rare.

When I say big deal, I mean that coffee filters are probably easy to work with when it comes to off the wall items to use to make a dress.
They’re already cut for you, they’re not exactly fragile, etc etc.
I’d be more impressed if she had done it with a more difficult material.
As I said though… it is a cute dress nonetheless.
