Metallica in Bluegrass, Cello, and … Even Kazoo!

By Alex in Music on May 11, 2009 at 1:34 pm

John of The Zeray Gazette has a neat compilation of various video clips of Enter Sandman, the iconic song by Metallica, as covered by others and played in um, different genres.

Included are: Enter Sandman as performed by the bluegrass band Iron Horse, the cello quintet Apocalyptica (quite famous, actually), and even a version played with a Kazoo!

LOL. I liked kazoo the best. Probably even better than normal Metallica

I’m going to mention it – there is someone out there who plays Metallica tunes on their accordion.

I’ve long been a fan of Apocalyptica, but that kazoo rendition was pretty darn cool!

I love how these point out how musical Metallica is/was. Their earliest stuff was their best. Even though they suck at web 2.0, and file sharing, they really were more than a “3 chord metal band” and one of my all time favs. (lookin at you, Jill)
