Humans! is a short animation by Reza Rasoli, Greg Gunn and Casey Hunt of Three Legged Legs. It’s done in the style of a PSA – and while you may not agree with the gloom and doom depiction of humans as parasites, it’s still a very interesting (though a bit gory) animation.

Very well done, but can't shake the feeling that the idiots over at PETA are just LOVING this animation. That or they're getting ready to protest the animators for killing animated animals.... either or... o_O

When I looked at the petri dishes in science class, I always couldn't help but think the germs on the dishes aren't very different from us on the Earth.
We are just blobs of very advanced combination of cells and bacteria.

It amazes me how many people will spout the "people are bad" "people are cancer" nonsense while still choosing to remain both alive and in the gene pool. It makes it hard for me to see anyone who is of that opinion as a person of principle when they keep on living and consuming and making babies, all the while complaining about how horrible and evil and bad people are.

Good animation, good thoughts, but it won't get to that point. We're just not that much of a threat. If we become too numerous nature will just cut our numbers down with a plague, spend a couple eons recovering and then go back to normal. No matter what we think about our scientific advancement and sociological progress, this planet is both tougher and more sophisticated than we are, and it does not need us like we need it.
