Panhandling Cat

Posted by Miss Cellania in Animal on March 18, 2009 at 11:53 am

Sometimes cats are hard up for cash, too!

This cat begging money was spotted in one of the cities of Belarus. He stays on one place with a note that reads “need money for meat and fish, bless you”. He doesn’t leave his place and protects the money just with his sight. His owner was found nearby. It was an old lady. She told the story that she had rescued the cat from the slaughters, but at that time she had already owned some pets and couldn’t feed them all, so he decided to let the pets earn the money for themselves.

As long as all the money the cat makes goes to feed the cat.

"Don't give him the money he'll just go buy Catnip with it."

I think that's kinda cute....... sad as this is, I know people would more likely give money to this cat than to homeless panhandlers.

There was a cat near Union Square in San Francisco with a basket that said "$1 to pet me." With the kids, we couldn't resist.

Most probably akhan... I know I would as sad as that is to admit :P
There's just something more helpless about an animal in need than a human in need.
Im just curious how that money doesn't fly away o_O

It makes for a strange tableau. Crowds gathering around a cat would usually make the feline nervous and want to walk away. And yeah, no breeze?

All cats can learn a lesson from this feline. Work for your food!
