Diorama-Like Oil Paintings

Portland artist Amy Bennett creates striking oil paintings, many of whichd epict beautiful vistas, landscapes, cityscapes and slices of daily life. Only there’s one catch – these oil paintings are stylized to look like minature models.

    These are wonderful. There’s something very sinister and/or mysterious going on in a few of them. Very compelling to look at.

    Stylized – yes, but intentionally made to look like miniature models, I’m not really seeing it.

    she actually builds the model and paints from it. that’s why it has that look.
