Skot Olsen's Cephalopod Artwork

Posted by Alex in Arts & Crafts on January 3, 2009 at 2:19 pm

"Neatorama isn’t a cephalopod blog," but here’s a marvelous art of squid art by Skot Olsen, titled "Blessed Saint Architeuthis" (2008). Skot loves the sea but was stung by a jellyfish at a tender young age, which explains a lot about his artwork: Link – via Ectoplasmosis

Stung by a jellyfish is a strange influence but wow, I love the atmosphere and colors of his artwork.

This is just one step to making us more comfortable with our impending domination by the Squid Lord and Cthulhu!

Every time you say "Neatorama is not a cephalopod blog", it's immediately followed up by a slanted post/propaganda aimed at the squid lovers.

    Awesome post, though. Beautiful.

I do a bit of painting myself and often find myself painting mountians so I am more interested in the bottom of the painting.

Holy Calimari! Squid Pope should fight crime.

Those are waves Lipht but you could use them as mountains if you like

@Johnny Cat - I was thinking the same thing!

Is every post now going to be preceded by "Neatorama is not a ____ blog"?
