Kitten Walks with Two Legs

Posted by Miss Cellania in Animal on December 21, 2008 at 6:55 am

A kitten was found injured in Akita, Japan and his back legs and tail were amputated. Employees at a book store nursed him back to health and found a home for him. The kitten has learned to balance and walk on his two front legs! Link (embedded YouTube clip) -Thanks, Haj!

How cute and how sad. I hope they take the cone off at some point.

Looks like the surgery it had was still fresh since the back of it was shaven. So the cone is only there until the kitty heals.
Poor little guy, but so glad that he was rescued and now has a loving home.

Hmmm....I remember something about dog training wheels for dogs that had no back legs or couldn't walk on them, I wonder if they work for cats too....

I bet he can only balance because of that cone on his head. When it gets taken off he's gonna get screwed up and fall and have to learn all over again. :(
On a side note: SO CUTE!

Half the limbs and ten times the charm! ^__^

I wonder what happened to him, though. If someone abused him, I hope their conscience never lets them rest.

That's truly amazing, thanks for posting it. That cat did something very inspirational. :)

The cone is there so he doesn't lick the stitches.
