Dwarf horses are now been bred as guild horses, and are more efficient then seeing eye dogs in various ways. They can’t spend most of their time in doors though, they need a good amount of fresh air or they start developing respiration problems.

It’s my understanding that small things are perceived as cute so they engender protective impulses rather than aggression or ambivalence. Babies can’t fend for or protect themselves, so they gotta work the angles to survive.
