The Dark Lord of Metal Logos

By Alex in Art, Music on Nov 26, 2008 at 11:10 pm

Christophe Szpajdel isn’t just any ol’ logo designer – he’s the self-proclaimed dark lord of black-metal logos. The Belgian designer has drawn over 7,000 black- and death-metal bands from all over the world.

Strangely, Christophe is also a forestry engineer and works in retail to support his artistry: Link

This Guy used to work in my local Co-Op in Exeter. In Fact he probably still does for all I know. He’s a bit of a Legend loacally, he looks like a wonky version of Ron Howard!

These are really cool. I can’t take anything away from that. However, wouldn’t it be novel if a metal act logo were done in bubble letters and rainbow colors?

they do look pretty similar, but you can see the influence of each band in their respective logos.
And kevin, fuck you. You clearly don’t know the first thing about black metal.
