    Why is it that these guys always tell the small, individual investors to stick with it and look at the long term? Is it perhaps to prop up the prices so that they can profit by looking at the short term?

    Just for the record, there are an awful lot of people who can’t eat well or pay bills right now, let alone put away ANYTHING for retirement. :(

    Very funny. My parents in-law have been retired for 10 years and they have plenty of life left in them, but the real estate market and stock market have done a number on them. They’re in a pickle. But if you’re not retiring in the next 15-25 years, no worries.
