Gasp – these are wonderful … in a geeky way: behold the Star Trek: The Next Generation light-switch or power-outlet cover plates, perfect
for the Trekker in all of us (these are made by Eugene Roddenberry, son of the Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry)

This would be perfect in the Star Trek House

I just bought these and with them came this warning label in large red letters: WARNING: ONCE INSTALLED, CHANCE OF GETTING LAID GOES DOWN BY 90%.

Heh… GNDN… Goes Nowhere Does Nothing… Invented as a way of designating fake prop piping in ST:TOS when they were designing the sets

Yep, impenetrable UI, atrocious usablity, unreadable font, definitely Star Trek.

I worked on “Andromeda”, created by the Star Trek folk.

They told me to look closely at the door id’s as they walk through the corridors.

Some of them are annotated, “GNDN”.

It stands for “Goes Nowhere. Does Nothing.”, basically saying it’s just a set-piece and non-functional.

Funny how these plates co-opted that part.
