Horse Got Head Stuck in Tree

Posted by Alex in Animal on October 20, 2008 at 2:57 pm

Gracie the horse got a nasty surprise when curiosity got the better of her and she decided to check out a gap in a tree trunk:

The horse, called Gracie, was unable to free itself and could have been in danger were it not for a passer-by who was able to come to the rescue after he heard the horse whinnying .

Jason Harschbarger, a neighbour in the town of Pullman, West Virginia, USA, arrived at the scene which resembled the image of Winnie the Pooh getting stuck in the honey tree.

Mr Harschbarger collected his tools and was able to carefully set the horse free by using a chainsaw to slowly cut the wood around its neck.

However, before he did so, he was able to take a few photographs.

Oh, geez, Mookay. You want something more exciting, maybe with relevance to contemporary events? Fine, how about:

Maybe the horse was hiding from Sarah Palin...

Jason Harschbarger, May our maker of the horse bless you and give you many times in a long and important live to do what your good heart knows. I have never seen an ugly horse. I have seen old, poor, sick health/mentally abused by lower than whale dung in the further most bottoms of the oceans have many times by some of the ugliest horse abusing beings that ever took a breath. Our maker blessed you with a heart of which you use for his purpose.

To give thought as to why the horse got his head hung in the forks of a tree and as the pic shows Gracie sitting on her hind quarters upon the ground. I think this. I am a lover of all equines and amoung other farm animals. The horse does not appear to be skinny from no food. Horses are curious beings and also forage on pastures and saplings and tree branches. Due to Gracies lower elevation as pics, she may have been reaching upwards towards leaves and lost footing because of a limb, rock, or even a urien spot from before. Horses rare up to get heigth.

This very curios horse "Gracie" should hook-up with the horse "Fat Boy" that fell in a pool after getting drunk by eating/drinking fermented apples...!

The curiosity of the creature is to be laughed at and to be enjoyed. When people who don't care, take time to make a comment it shows how insensitive some of us have become.

We need to take time to laugh and enjoy the small thinkgs in life---not just the big events!

    To Mookie:
What if you were im a bad car accident and was left trapped in the wreck.Would you want passerbys to take the same attitude you took about this poor horse? I have two horses and would want someone to be compassionate enough to care about them.Shows how immature you really are.

    Mookay,

You are about one of the most stupid persons taking up the air God made. Any animal that was in danger should be helped. And thinking that a drunk horse in a pool in funny, you needed to stop taking up space on this earth. what a waste of flesh.

ok Mookie is pretty mean, but why are some of you guys calling him a Republican, even someone said you must not care about people because you are a Republican? What kind of idiotic statement is that? Do you know who the first Republican was? Funny thing is noone called them on there hateful speech, but everyone was yelling at Mookie for being mean to the poor filly....I guess then if you do care you're a Democrat (but then would you call Republican's non caring if you were a caring person?)..hmm..yeah it doesn't make sense!

As horse owners that have lost a horse that got it's head caught in a forked tree we know how sad it is and how very lucky this beautiful creature and it's owner were that another came along and helped. We trimmed/cut down that tree and every other tree that was forked so as to not lose any more animals and continue when ever we have one growing that way. It's sad that in this day of sooooo much information available "literally at 'our' fingertips" so many people prefer to make unknowleged comments. This one article may have saved many other horses and cows from the same fate. Don't just complain, stop and see what you can do to help!
