Couple Let Donkey Loose in the House

Posted by Alex in Animal on October 8, 2008 at 2:21 pm

Don’t you hate it when someone reads over your shoulder? Well, apparently it does not bother Jackie Farrier at all – in fact, she and her husband let their donkey Polly, their colt Charlie, and the rest of their 29 pets to wander around the house and join them at the dinner table!

Mrs Ferrier said her two children James, 12 and nine-year-old Lucy ‘do not mind it because they have grown up with it and are used to it really’.

‘It is very amusing because friends come over and there are chickens wondering around.

‘It is definitely different. Life would be boring if we were the same as everyone else.’

As much as I love donkeys... donkey in the kitchen, that's absolutely disgusting... there's even a picture of a donkey licking the dinner table :S

Really? All over the house? 29 pets? Man, that woman must have the instincts of... some kind of crazy accurate instinct machine, in order to keep on top of their pooping schedules.

Watch your step in the Ferrier house.

Isn't this how new flu viruses emerge in chinese farming villages?

What do you suppose Mr. Ferrier does for a living? A farrier maybe? (well, I thought it was funny anyway.)

I think Colt's right...bird flus in farming villages are spread mostly from people in very close contact with their chickens...ie living with them inside or cuddling with them and stuff like that...

What a lovely aroma must be present in that house.

I would imagine they are all house-trained.
