Eyeball Jewelry Makes You Look Like You're Crying

Posted by Alex in Fashion on October 3, 2008 at 12:51 pm

Do jewelries move you to the point of tears? Well, thanks to Dutch designer Erik Klarenbeek, now even your eyes can "wear" jewelry:

The bizarre range features a number of adornments which hang on wire from contact lenses.

Users attach a range of accessories, such as crystals and flowers, to the new prescription or dummy lenses and wear them throughout the day.

The jewellery, which measures up to 14mmx33mm, is attached to the contact using medical wire and hangs below the eye.

The crystal accessories glimmer in sunlight and look as if the wearer is crying.

Am I the only one who finds it ironic that these are becoming popular just as the movie about everybody going blind at once comes out?

People will try to market anything nowadays.

Of course it won't catch on since it will become annoying to ther wearer that everyone will be constantly telling them they have something hangning from their eyes.

Easy way to rip a contact out too (your own or someone elses).

Can they give you red puffy eyes and a runny nose as well?

And you can't simply attach it to your cheek why? Seriously, just put sticky stuff on the back and put it on your skin. I don't understand why it has to connect to a contact lens.

This is a bit old, been around months already. And totally stupid. Almost as bad as the idiot who had his eyeball tattooed.

why would you want to look like you're crying? also, don't some convicts tattoo teardrops on their cheeks to represent their time spent in prison? and two drops if they were incarcerated twice? why would you want to look like a convict? why would you want something hanging from your eyeball all day? and who would this be marketed to? kids at hot topic and teenagers who don't manipulate their parents/teachers enough already?
