The Show MUST Go On

OK, either this is the most dedicated radio announcer in Greece or I’m being taken for a ride and this is a viral marketing video. I would love to have our Greek speaking audience translate what must be a very important announcement that this guy would just keep reading it on air while the fire behind him spreads.

*Update – A big thanks to kkonstan for the translation. :)

Nothing really important, he starts talking about the LHC powering up, he goes on talking about te proposed tax reform (yawn) and finishes with the results of the Greece vs Poland game… weather.

What is funny is what one of the blokes that actually put out the fire told him after he turned of the mic, but as is usally the case with language, it can’t be properly translated… something along the lines

“Hey, you’re on fire and you just sit there… are you in touch with reality?”

It was nice when he tried to extinguish the fire with his foot! It reminds me when somebody try to reach the remote control when it’s “not in reach” but doesn’t want to stand up.

Impressive. Not as impressive as the time in college radio we lit the news guy’s actual paper copy he was holding on fire.

He finished the news from memory.

The big flash at 0:15 was a line of black powder (or some other explosive) going of on the table..

Unless this guy’s radio show is located in a fireworks factory, it’s FAKE!
