Go Cubs Go… to Neatorama

Posted by Stacy in Neatorama Only, Pictures on July 28, 2008 at 10:44 am

Went to the Cubs/Marlins game yesterday and my husband just happened to be modeling his lovely Neatorama shirt! It must have been good luck, because the Cubbies pulled off the W.

We’re at the famous Murphy’s Bleachers on Sheffield in that picture, but here’s our awesome view from the stands:

Of course, you can get your very own Neatorama shirt at the lovely Neatorama shop. Snap a picture of yourself wearing it and you could be featured on the blog!

    Nice!

I didn’t know that many people still watched pro baseball. I gave it up after the first strike.

Highest revenue in American sports, I think, Jimbo.

I really want to visit wrigley field sometime. And the cubs are doing great this year, it’s just too bad they’re gonna lose to the mets in the NLCS. ;)

    Go Brewers! Go Marlins! :)

I’ll be visiting my friend this weekend at the corner of Clark and Sheffield.

Good to see your post invoking “Go, Cubs, Go” by Steve Goodman. He often doesn’t get his due. You might be interested in my 800-page biography, “Steve Goodman: Facing the Music.” The book delves deeply into the genesis of “A Dying Cub Fan’s Last Request” and its semi-sequel, “Go, Cubs, Go.”

You can find out more at my Internet site (below). Amazingly, the book’s first printing sold out in just eight months, all 5,000 copies, and a second printing of 5,000 is available now. The second printing includes hundreds of little updates and additions, including 30 more photos for a total of 575. It just won a 2008 IPPY (Independent Publishers Association) silver medal for biography: http://www.independentpublisher.com/article.php?page=1231. To order a second-printing copy, see the “online store” page of my site. Just trying to spread word about the book. Feel free to do the same!
