i’ve tried stained glass before (of course it was large, profane words) but i found the hardest part was getting the little black lines on correctly

A friend of mine’s wife does stained glass and at one point made him a Super Man symbol. Awsome!

I’ve got a glass–cutter and a soldering gun, I could probably do a bit of stained glass. I’m not sure if the things I’d come up with would raise or lower the property value of this house.

I have a fascination with glass making and it’s many implements on buildings and such. I wonder how awesome it would be to get a stained glass window with your name on it.

I miss making stained glass stuff…when I was a kid I was tutored by a lady who happened to have a huge studio, and if I did all my homework and made good grades, I was given free reign of the place. I would come home with solder burns on my fingers, glass dust on my clothes…and a 100-kilowatt halogen smile. Ahhh, good times…
I wish I could get back into it. I have a ton of ideas I would love to put into glass!

I share the same fascination. I would love to learn the technique to work the glass.

Have you guys seen the guy who made stained glass words to cover video advertisements in his city? It was great. I’ll have to see if I can find the url and submit it here.

very very cool
my son makes pages and pages of Indiana Jones “rope fighting” (multiple Indy’s cracking their whips) and I would love to see one of the “rope guys” manifested in a window for our home! maybe someone on etsy does this…?
