    My parents went to Sri Lanks for a trip (second honeymoon?) by themselves and stayed in a hotel where they literally were inches away from the beach and a pool that was connected right to the coast. They said it was quite beautiful.

    *drool* Some of those would be beautiful as just decorative water features. It still seems silly to have a swimming pool overlooking a beach, though.

    I think the water villas that have steps right into the ocean are beautiful.
