That is awesome. How much more ironic can you get?

Hilarious! At least they recognize the annoyance factor in what they do. Now, if only they would stop calling...

If only someone would call the National Association of Telemarketers and pitch them something ...

That is a GREAT picture! I think it may be a little more hypocritical than ironic....but still hilareous! :D

It's not irony at all, it's hypocrisy.

It's irony. It's a telemarketing association, not a telemarketer. They don't solicit, they just help those who do, but only as long as it's not in person.

Irony is the unexpected, where as I would argue that this is totally expected hypocrisy. Of course they don't want solicitors on the premises. Lawyers have a way of noticing when you break the law.

(Did any one get that? Anyone?)

So... you expected a telemarketing association to actively discourage solicitors?

You expect dental associations to promote tooth decay?

    solicit: v.tr. to petition persistently

    if that isn't telemarketing to a t, i'm a monkey's uncle.

the juxtaposition of the two signs is clearly ironic.

Geez. You think the Jehovah's Witnesses and Mormons appreciate people knocking on their doors? Of course not.
