   Actually, George Barna did a study which suggests that 90% of people who share their faith always ask the other person what they believe. I'm not surprised by people finding Barry's remark funny. It simply seems way off the mark, according to Barna's actual research. I believe he cites the study in Evangelism That Works.

   You have to distinguish between "Honestly want to hear about your religious beliefs" and "Want to know what your r current beliefs are in order to pick the best approach to use to dismantle them and replace them with their own".

   Dr Pants, you're being too cynical. Or you've met too many Jehovah's Witnesses.

   This also works for poetry and other creative writing. People love to share their own poetry, get it published, etc..., but they won't want to read yours.

    I agree with Dr. Pants. When someone asks about my religion, they typically don't care what I believe, they just want to know what angle to come at me from.
