Eclectic 2.0 by Ross Ching

Eclectic 2.0 is a beautifully shot movie made with still photographs by San Diego State University senior Ross Ching – check out the time-lapse panning. My favorite is the nightsky shots. The wonderful music is Horseshoes and Handgrenades by The Ghost Orchid

Don’t miss this: Link [requires Quicktime 7] | Then watch The Making Of Eclectic 2.0Thanks Edward!

There’s Eclectic (the first one by Ross Ching) on YouTube, but you need to see it in hi-res to appreciate the full beauty of the clip.

That was OK but not entirely original and not really that engaging....

I think this is a better movie: http://www.jaman.com/a/Spacer/video/0BN7VNtD3tFw

Does anyone know how tough it is to do stop motion pan and tilt? While the art is beautiful, the patience and technical prowess is astounding.

I should also add that this would be impossible with film. It is also a testament to the power of digital photography.

Ollie Larkin has some great time-lapses:

Especially the beautiful "Lapses in Light", which Mylo's 'Emotion 98.6' seems made for.

hmm...I didn't really like it. Beautiful shots, to be sure, but far too busy and fast to appreciate the nice photography. I stopped about halfway through - as rooboy said it's not very engaging.

Yes - Spacer is more interesting, but there is worse music.
