New Kids on the Block Returns: Not New and No Longer Kids, but They’re Back!

By Alex in Health on Apr 4, 2008 at 3:38 pm

This news is so stupendous that I had to check the date to make sure it’s not April 1: New Kids on the Block boy band has reunited!

They may be pushing 40, but the New Kids are returning to the block.

The boy band New Kids on the Block, which sold 70 million albums in the 1980s and early ’90s, has reunited and plans to release a new album and go on tour. The reunion comes 20 years after the release of the group’s multiplatinum album, "Hangin’ Tough."

    NKOTB was before my time, but maybe it’ll inspire other past boy bands to get back together. That would be funny!

    I wonder if that one guy will burn anything down this time… can’t remember his name — and I think that’s a good thing.

    I was in love with them when I was a kid. Even had the oversized concert tee tied in a knot at the side. It matched my side ponytail, day-glo pink leggings, and acid washed black denim jacket perfectly. That being said, they need to realize that their fan base is (hopefully) gone.

    MKULTRA Fluroide/Aspartame Culture, Katrina Weeps

    “You are free, to do as we tell you!” – Bill Hicks

    Keep drinking your fluoride water and aspartame soft drinks Americans, you are so fucking lost. Red or blue, red or blue, which corporate whore do we want in this time?

    You people are pathetic. You should’ve learned from Katrina and seen just how important you are when the TV goes off. When the flickering entertainment stops, when people start talking. When cops tell women stranded on rooftops to lift up their shirts to see their tits and maybe then they’ll rescue them.

    Maybe, just maybe, if you kept your televisions off long enough, you’d wake up and start talking again, living in real community, ending your drug war lie instead of keeping it alive so the gangsters can continue to throw kick backs to police or shadow governments and continue the funding of wars you don’t agree with, and experience actual change instead of the lies you love to keep swallowing. During the birth pains of the Iraq war, good old ollie north was on Fox News while the American flag danced by the corporate logo, truly this was a turn for the surreal should you care to remember his history.

    Watch everything by Bill Hicks until you wake up and learn to think for yourself, come to understand the meaning behind his mantra, “Squeegee your third eye”, watch The Secret Government: The Constitution in Crisis, by Bill Moyers and understand there is still hope, we can come together as a nation, but it starts when we turn off the television forever and turn on our minds while tuning into each other.

    I can see the Rolling Stones hanging in there, but I don’t know about this. The picture reminds me more of “The Usual Suspects” than teeny boppers. It just seems wrong.

    @MKULTRA

    surely there’s a better way to express yourself than irrelevant, semi-incoherent diatribes in the comment section of blogs.

    haven’t you seen the little astronaut in the comment box? it says trolls be gone, chum.

    I’m skeptical whenever someone tells me how to think, especially if they tell me that thinking like them will change my world. Sometimes, I think I think just fime.
