Treehugger has a short and sweet article about the Belmont Clothes Library in Australia, which loans out business apparel to the unemployed so they can look smart for job interviews!

Just avoid the underwear section! LinkThanks Chris!

This is something that most major universities offer their students. College kids don't have nice clothes for interviews, and I knew several people in college who "checked out" suits for interviews.
I think this is a wonderful idea for small towns who have been hit hard by the economy crisis.

Really? Universities offer this to their students? This is a great idea for anyone. I'll donate my suit to my library whenever I get a new one--interested to see if they take it.

This is a great idea. Helping homeless people get jobs!

So what do they wear to work once they've landed the job? It would be better if the group simply gave them the first outfit.

The local charity shop where I bring all my donated goods to will give people who are going for an interview a new set of clothes. It's a wonderful thing!

I work for the Georgia Department of Labor and most of the Career Centers (employment offices) have a clothes locker of donated clothing just for such occasions. The job seekers get to keep the clothes for future use.

An awesome idea to help folks get jobs without looking bad during the interview. First impressions are always a key during those...so is a good suit.

cheers to this idea. They should also offer interview tips and maybe a job board. A one stop shop to get on your feet kind of deal.

I agree with all the praise from eveyone. This is a great idea for EVERYONE. Not just college students.

my college offered one better. For every rejection letter you got, the local bar gave you a free pint.

I applied to nasa like 50 times.
