The Best Business Card Ever!

Posted by Alex in Everything Else on March 20, 2008 at 5:47 am

Über Google software engineer Matt Cutts (who blogged about Neatorama way back when!) happened to find an unusual business card
in an old book:

I found this business card in an old book that I bought at a book sale. So I never met the person who made the card, and the mystery behind the business card remains intact. How many uncreative (boring) business cards have you seen in your life? This business card illustrates that a little bit of creativity can go a long way towards sticking in someone’s
mind.

Matt put a scan on his blog, so you can see why it’s aptly called the Best Business Card Evar!

You can go into any army surplus store and find that same saying on any Special Ops T-shirt. SF, Seals, Delta, Marine Recon, PJ’s, it applies to them all. It’s a military thing you civilians wouldn’t understand. :-p

My dad’s band back in the 60s had cards with this wording (and a bit more), but a different design.

My grandfather had one that had things like “pirate” and “virgins converted” on it. My mother used it, and a photograph of him dressed awfully piratey while at sea (he was a sailor) to prove he was a pirate.

Then she got a business card similar to it for my brother for his 19th birthday or something.
