Adventures in Rechargeable Batteries

150_battery-chargerJeff Atwood of Coding Horror has a helpful and informative article about rechargeable batteries. The beauty of it is the unabashed joy he takes in his new charger.

…I ended up tossing my generic “rapid” chargers in favor of the majestic, glorious, and surprisingly inexpensive La Crosse Technology BC-900 AlphaPower battery charger.

Seriously, just look at this thing. It’s a geek’s dream.

That is cool. I like how you can see where you are in the process for each individual battery.

Kick ass. I just bought one since I use AAA’s for my Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii controllers.

I just bought one too. I considered the Maha Powerex MH-C9000 but my god 48 key presses to change a single setting. This one also seems to be the better than the newer BC-700.

I’d also like to point out how well the buyer comments are on this Amazon item, I’ve never seen so much information and comparatives on anything.
