Couple's Beloved Dogs Made Into Sweaters

Posted by Alex in Animal, Fashion on March 19, 2008 at 9:41 pm

After they lost their beloved dogs, Beth and Brian Willis of Newcastle, England, found a unique way to keep their beloved pets close to their hearts: by turning their fur into sweaters!

After seeing a picture of Princess Diana wearing a dog fur stole at Crufts, they collected thousands of dog hairs from brushes and carpets.

The pair said the his and hers dog memorials were "warm and waterproof".

Mr Willis, who worked for Pickfords Removals for 27 years, wears his doggy jumper into town every Saturday to do the weekly shop.

The 73-year-old said: "They are extremely warm and pretty much waterproof. I’ve always got a sweat on by the time I get from the bus to the shops."

    Are their loafers former gophers?

They could also felt the fur and make some manner of trendy hat. You know, I could shave my cat, spin the wool into a ball of yarn, and give it to him to play with.

They could have made shoes, jackets, maybe a trendy purse from the hides.

Princess Diana in a dog fur stole? Am I the only one remembering Diana refusing to wear fur?

    Ka-ree-pee, sorry but it is.
I love you so much spike that i want to use your fur as clothes. EWW!
Really I feel sorry for the people that are allergic to dogs and randomly meet these people in public.

And here, all this time, I've been trying to get my dog's hair off of my clothes.

Personally,I think its disgusting, that Americans, would think of wearing their dogs fur alive or dead.Honestly its a inhumane idea, some people need to watch vidoes of cats and dogs in China being skinned alive for their fur,and see them being tortured.Dead or alive have respect for your animal, cause if they were still alive, they wouldn't be enjoying it.

    Great, just friggin great!
These people may have done this out of love, but guaranteed there will be other people who read this and
start a new canine branch of the fur industry. I agree with Michelle on this one.

When your dog or cat turns up missing, remember, I told you so.
When you see idiots who give away dogs and cats for free.
You can know that they are no longer being snatched up and sold for medical testing. No, they will be snatched up by the local thugs and made into trim for some fake designer. When you see it, remember I told you so.
When our great country misunderstands what this crazy old couple in England did. We will be reduced to the mentality of China. God forbid, we will not take the next step to having them show up on our dinner plates.
God Help our Nation and keep our children and animals safe from those who will do them harm because of this.
