Mario in Real Life

p>Ever
wonder what Mario would look like in real life? Well, thanks to Pixeloo, now we can:

If Mario was real, thas one creepy plumber. Created with Photoshop CS2 and a bunch of random faces pasted over a 3d render of Mario from Nintendo.

    heh cool. Creepy… but cool.
The eyes could have been a lil smaller, I keep thinking of it as fake based on the eyes alone. Nobody has eyes that big. O_O

It kind of reminds me of the pedophile from Sin City.

Pasting a photo-realistic texxture over a 3D model does not make it a ‘real life’ simulation.
I’m sure any CG artist reading that claim would cringe.
If they wanted to make a ‘real life’ Mario, you’d really have to work on rescaling the model.

However, there’s a failsafe way to figure out what Mario would look like in real life. Since the character was based on Hironobu Sakaguchi’s landlord (Mario Segali), all you’d have to do is find pictures of that guy when he was at the age Hironobu met him.

Ugh. This reminds me of one of those ugly “real-life anime character” ’shops. Newsflash: if they were really real, they wouldn’t still have the cartoony proportions.

Aren’t all the plumbers polish now? (Or is that just in France?)
