By now, you’ve all heard that actor Heath Ledger was found dead in his New York apartment yesterday. The Internet is abound with the news (with TMZ, as always, leading the pack).

Heath’s last movie, Batman: The Dark Knight, will be released this summer. In it, he plays the Joker (a very different portrayal than the one done by Jack Nicholson, see preview above).

Speculation about his death aside, it’s always sad to hear someone die at such a young age. Heath will be missed.

I’m really looking forward to Heaths performance in this, and I was also looking forward to him being in Terry Gilliams new film. It’s tragic that he died so young.

    RIP

OMG his portrayal of the Joker looks so intense and creepy. I have chills right now. This guy was such a wonderful and fierce actor and it is such a shame that we won’t be able to see him grace any more pictures. I know the loss of any human life so early is tragic, and I for one will miss him.

This is an actor you can say that truly was transcendent. It was mesmerizing to see him become these characters. I will miss him too.

Sadder that, whether suicide or accidental overdose, despite his successes, he lived in a world without hope.

He’ll be cheered at the Oscars when they get to his name on the death-list. Will he be worthy?

His death is so sad and sudden. His portrayal of the Joker is so terrifying and deep, like the Joker of Arkham Asylum.
