Making your own marshmallows is easier than I thought it would be! Design Sponge has a video with instructions. These, combined with homemade hot chocolate mix, make a thoughtful yet inexpensive Christmas gift for someone who doesn’t need any more doodads. Link -via Unique Daily

    Any thing that requires a cooking thermometer is hard work.

    The process doesn’t look that hard. Unless you find it a strain to do anything besides open a plastic bag and shove the contents into your face.

    If I still needed to get a gift for someone, I might try this. I’m not a great cook, but I can read a thermometer and run a mixer!
