Trivia: St. Brigid of Ireland Turned Bathwater into Beer

Jesus wasn’t the only person who performed the feat of turning water into alcohol.

St. Brigid of Ireland transformed her bathwater into beer for a visiting (and presumably very thirsty) clergyman.

I think a big “liar liar pants on fire” would be in order here.

Maybe this tale is testament to the
extreme hotness of St. Brigid back in the day.

We’ve done that. Takes about two weeks to brew some good beer, though. And you wouldn’t want to do it in a bathtub, though you could. A good carboy is way better.

of the ttime it would be called smalll beer.

Basically people drank very weak beer as it was sterile and safe as opposed to the water which was filthy.

So her bathwater probably tasted the same as that crappy brew.

So she turned her bathwater into a murky, faintly yellowish liquid that tastes awful? She obviously peed in the bathtub.
