Eshel Ben-Jacob of Tel Aviv University has a gallery of art made from the patterns bacteria form with they grow in petri dishes. This one reminds me of a Yes album cover! Link -via Dump Trumpet

    i had to grow bacteria in biology once… it never made pretty patterns like that :(

    Surely such a design could not have been created by simple bacteria. It is obvious that this is the work of His Noodliness.

    Agreed it looks like a Roger Dean illustration for YES.

    At first glance for me, however, I thought it was something from Doctor Seuss.
