well not every poster designer does it. and, other than that, i get the impression that the reason for doing that is to personalize the poster. Having it replace your torso and face shows that your mind and body have dedicated themselves to creating this project, and shows the project as though it is "you".
regardless, this is one of my least favorite neatorama entries. Not funny, and only slightly clever.

Maybe because posters are floppy and must hang down from a support attached to the edge of it in order for the design to be completely displayed? That's why. =p

Yes, he's tired of the same old form. But it's by far the most practical one. But i'm grateful for this entry because it lead me to find ffffound.com , which is a wonderful site. Instant favorite.
