The World’s Oldest Cat

By Alex in Animals & Pets, World Records on Dec 4, 2007 at 3:44 am

Meet Pussywillow, Lin Brown’s cat, which may just be the oldest cat alive today:

A 26-year-old domestic cat from Shropshire could be one of the oldest in the UK.

Pussywillow lives in Ratlinghope and is still "sharp in her mind and her eyes", according to owner Lin Brown.

The black cat, who now enjoys curling up by the stove, lived off
animals she caught herself until she was 22, Ms Brown said.

26 is old, my cat lived to be 25…the oldest cat lived to be 34 so this cat has a way to go to beat the oldest!

George, our orange tabby, is at least 16 years old.

George still hunts for mice, birds, etc., to augment his diet of the cheapest dry cat food I can find.

He has always refused to use the litter box, and prefers to go outside. Except when the weather is bad — then he goes on my laundry room floor.

If George keeps this up, it won’t be old age that gets him, it will be ME.

My cat will be 20 in August 08, if she keeps going. Ive had her since she was 6 weeks old.
