Harry Potter First Edition Sold for Nearly $41,000

A copy of J.K. Rowling’s first book about Harry Potter, “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone”, was sold yesterday to an anonymous private bidder for $40,326 at Christie’s auction house.

It was published in 1997 and is signed by Joanne Rowling on the back of the title page.
