Prius Stretch Limo

This Prius owner modded his car into a custom 10 8-seater Prius Limo, while still maintaining 50 mpg fuel efficiency. It took him 200 hours of fabrication at a cost of about $10,000.

And no, it’s not a photoshop job (if you read the whole thread, it started out as someone snapping a camera phone pic of the Prius Limo on the road, who got called a liar for photoshopping the picture, until the real owner of the car set the record straight).

    According to the interior shots, it’s apparently only an 8-seater.

    Originally I was going to say “what a waste of 2 good hybrids”, but then saw he only spent $10,000 on the whole getup! Plus, it still gets over 43 mpg for a 8-seater car.

    I’d love that as an alternative to a minivan … I wonder how many others would pay Toyota for it?

    @Fantasia - the thread referenced on the post went over this in great detail. It was first posted by someone who took a cell phone snapshot of the Prius Limo, followed by bazillion replies of “photoshopped” - until the guy who made the car joined and showed construction photos.

    I saw a car looking exactly like this driving around in La Habra, CA. Same color, even. I was shocked when I saw it. Is this the same one I saw? Is this the only one?
