coat hanger gorilla

Artist David Mach made this giant gorilla sculpture from coat hangers. Check his site for more inspirational collage work, the woman made from Scrabble tiles in his portfolio would be the perfect Faye Dunaway Fay Wray for this wire simian. David Mach’s Site via Dump Trumpet

Fay Wray was the original Beauty to King Kong’s Beast. At the time, Ms. Dunaway was just a gleam in her father’s eye.

Maybe yer mixing Jessica Lange and Wray? Lange kinda looks like Dunaway, only better in her monkey days.

That is cool. And you can hang it any way you want.

    Faye Dunaway? huh?
    1933 movie: Fay Wray
    1976 movie: Jessica Lange
    2005 movie: Naomi Watts

Dunaway was born in 1941, too late for the first and too early to play the heroine in the remakes.

The Faye Dunaway inclusion in the original post is more apropos than realized. Dunaway portrayed actress Joan Crawford in the film Mommie Dearest, a film based on the memoirs of Crawford’s daughter. Crawford was anything but dear in this depiction of an unfit mother whose alcholism and abuse is most remembered by a tirade over wire hangers.
