Actually, this contest (which they call a World Cup) was initiated by a late night TV show. All the contestants are more or less known people from the German showbiz. The same programme also started a stock car race and several other “events”.

It’s a fun event organised by the german comedian Stefan Raab. It’s not really ment to be taken serious, it’s just to entertain people. Almost all the riders are german celebrities.

The Wok Racing is not a real sport, it’s a fun event invented by the german comedian Stefan Raab at his Late Night Show TV Total.
