I think I know the story behind this, unless there's been more than one dinosaur-toting helicopter lately.

It was a famous road-side dinosaur named Dixie. She was at a gas station/mini-mart in Benicia, California (NE of San Francisco, and near the Bay). In 1994, she was moved to a new location. I lived nearby for years, and I remember being upset that I didn't get a chance to see it happen.
