The Staggering Stories of Ferdinand de Bargos

Ah – the wonders of YouTube! Here’s an old tv show I never thought I’d see again. Originally produced by the BBC back in the late 80′s early 90′s it was a mash-up of newsreel archive footage with a fictional comic storyline expertly voiced-over by, amongst others Oscar-winner Jim Broadbent, Jon Glover and Ronni Ancona.

Non-Brits will have a little difficulty with some of the idioms, and it’s a little hit and miss, but stay with it – some of the stories are hilarious. They didn’t make very many episodes, but I hope they all finally see the light of day again.

Also – beware with this particular episode – some NSFW nudity. (The second instance of nudity is very funny…)
