The Richat Structure

In the area of Oudane, Mauritania there is a mysterious geological structure that has been speculated to be the product of either a Meteorite or a very unique leftover of an eroded Volcano. Did you know that this amazing structure has also been used by the early space missions as a landmark when traveling over the Earth? If you ask me I believe it’s the long lost eye of a Giant Cyclops. ;)

You can check it out by visiting one of my favorite blogs on the Internet (after Neatorama, of course!).
