Betcha didn’t have this kind of summer camp when you were growing up: Camp Okutta, a kid’s camp with activities like throwing grenade and setting up land mines!

A dream camp for gun enthusiasts? Nah, actually, it’s a clever bit of advertising by War Child Canada to raise awareness of actual camps around the world training child soldiers.

I think this is a really unique way to get people to talk about child soldiers. Good find.

the quality of video could be better, i mean the style, no the video coding.. but hell yeah, another good viral that spreads on its own!

Easy folks, it's a spoof intended to get people's attention on the fact that in other countries, children ARE used in war. (And you thought the Nazis were the only sickos...)

What's the big deal? 25 years ago when I went to summer camp, we were instructed in the safe and responsible use of firearms (rifle, pistol, and shotgun) and everyone was the better for it. We did lots of other stuff too... No land mine or grenade training, though (much to my chagrin). Somewhere around here, I've all my N.R.A. Junior Marksman awards...

Obviously the video is a spoof, folks; don't get all teary eyed.

    Straight talk from Sid.
