Yes, those are pigs in a blanket around the outer perimeter. These “Double Roll Pies” are available at Japanese Pizza Huts according to Geeks Are Sexy. And presumably “Double Roll” refers to the waist augmentation that results from just looking at one of these cholesterol bombs.

Mmmmmm. I remember seeing a pizza at Japanese Pizza Hut with a crust stuffed with crabstick! The toppings included such delights as sea urchin eggs, eel and whelk. All for only 5500 Yen ($45)!!11!

    Gah…. That’s disgusting…

I guess it’s just like a party in a box, though. Put the pizza out and have people eat pigs in a blanket for appetizer, and then they can move on to the pizza and meat for a main course.

Is that edamame on the pizza? Well, I guess you have to at least try to counteract all that meat and cheese.

It’s a wonder that Japan isn’t the fattest nation on earth…

Seriously, they probably order one of these for a party and then everybody snacks off it.

I guess you have to be there. But, then again, these are the people who thought up sushi and they’ve conned some American’s into thinking it actually tastes good. This’ll be on the menu here in another five or six years, probably in San Francisco where they’ll eat anything.

I see no bacon blanket for the hot dogs.. only a suspicious meat thing under the hot dog..

oh my GOD. EW! i work at a pizza hut (in america) and the cheesy bites took long enough to make alone… i can’t imagine how much FUN it would be to stuff vienna sausages in there too.
