Before those "I’m a PC and I’m a Mac" ads by Apple, here’s this ad pictorial in the September 1996 issue of MacAddict: Link – via Crave, Thanks Aaron Larney!

Yuck, I wouldn't want to be either of those chaps.

    This isn't actually an ad.

To clarify, this document was not actually an ad, but rather part of an article published in MacAddict in 1996 about the differences between Mac users and PC users.

So basically they're both douches, but the Mac user likes the smell of his own farts more?

as in the modern ads and the japanese ads, i prefer the pc guy. smart beats trendy any day of the week with me.

but, given the iphone lines, apparently trendy works for a lot of people.

    When did 1996 become vintage?

And I think the PC guy is the little boy in the lard ad, all grown up.

Thanks for pointing out that it's not an ad, Lester and Nathan Hunt!

You're right, Theresa - in computer and technology terms, 1996 is not vintage. It's ancient!

I agree, they both look like douchebags. Build your own PC from bits you find in the garbabge and throw a found copy of Fedora or Ubuntu or FreeBSD onto it. Oh yeah, get a girlfriend sometime too.
