Rock Cottage.

Today’s collaboration with the always-awesome Cellar Image of the Day brings us this photo of a strange house hewn out of a sandstone cliff and caves: the Rock Cottage in Worcestershire, England. If you fancy Flintstones-style (Hobbit-style?) living, it can be yours when it goes to auction next week.

    Can’t be a Hobbit house–the door isn’t round.

I would love to live there! It looks amazing and we need more eco friendly homes. I just hope it does not go to some rich idiot who is buying it for pure novelty, do nothing with it and then forget about it.

It was auctioned off today for € 150,000 (one hundred and fifty thousand euros). Looks like Alastair’s fear will not prove unfounded.

That house despite not having a round door is brilliant and has its own touch, the surroundings also give it that hobbits paradise look!
