I didn’t see favorite, pygmy blue whales, in their list.

    temporary tax increase

Sigh. It is impossible to talk about oxymorons on the Internet without someone confusing them with “political statements I disagree with”. Usually they’re content to stop at “military intelligence”.

Do they really mean to say oxymorons? Those sound more like contradictions of terms to me.

I always am disappointed when collectors of oxymorons can’t find enough and fall back on relative comparisons that sound like oxymorons instead. Like jumbo shrimp, which means a shrimp larger than other shrimp. If there’s no paradox, it’s not really an oxymoron.
